台中港倉儲裝卸股份有限公司

臺中港為國家第一個十大建設之一，於民國六十五年建港第一階段完成，隨即於當年10月底正式營運，同時將棧埠業務全面開放民營，首創國內所有國際港口之先例，本公司當時即配合國家政策，率先投入經營，並有幸成為臺中港也是全國第一家民營裝卸倉儲業者。

臺中港為人工港，在沙灘上築港本屬不易，還要克服東北季風、潮差及漂沙之三大天敵，在外人看來，簡直是不可能完成的任務，但在工程團隊努力不懈，逐一克服種種困境下，終能順利如期完成，贏得「西海岸的神話」的美譽，臺中港正式營運後，立即發揮巨大功效，除解除基隆及高雄港口船隻擁塞外，並實際擔負起中部地區廠商對外貿易進出口之門戶，帶動中部地區之發展。

台中港開港至今已整整四十二年，早於十餘年前即已躍升為臺灣第二大國際港，如今還不斷的進步，不斷的擴展，且仍有極大的發展空間，更有甚者，臺中港除站穩船舶營運等本業外，更進一步朝綠能、觀光購物、休閒遊憩等多功能港口邁進，本公司有幸見證港口發展史，能參與並分享港口的繁榮進步，實感與有榮焉，特此撰文按讚。

Taichung Port is one of the country's Ten Major Construction Projects
The first Phase of the construction of the port was completed in 1976 and officially opened in October of the same year. Moreover, the cargo handling business of Taichung Port was fully private at the same time and made it a precedent for all domestic ports. At that time, our company became the first to operate with the national policy and was fortunate to be the first private loading and warehousing company in Taichung Port and the country.

Taichung Port is an artificial port. It is hard to build a port on the beach. It also needs to overcome three major difficulties such as northeast monsoon, tidal differences and drifting sand. In the concept of outsiders, it is simply an impossible task. However, after the construction team worked hard and overcame these difficulties one by one, it was finally completed on time and won the reputation as myth of the West Coast. After the official opened of Taichung Port, it immediately exerted great effects. In addition to lifting the congestion of vessels in Keelung and Kaohsiung Port, it also took the lead in import and export trade in the central region of Taiwan and drove the development of the central region of Taiwan.

It has been 42 years since the official opened of Taichung Port. Taichung Port has become the second largest international port in Taiwan more than ten years ago. It is still improving, expanding and still has a lot of rooms for development. In addition to its stability in ship transportation operations, Taichung Port will further develop into a multi-purpose port which includes green energy, sightseeing, shopping, leisure and recreation. Our company is fortunate to witness the development history of Taichung Port and participate in the prosperity and progress of the port.
