中國鋼鐵股份有限公司(中鋼)位於高雄市，成立於民國60年12月，粗鋼年產量約1千萬公噸，主要產品為鋼板、條鋼、線材、熱軋、冷軋、電鍍鋅鋼捲、電磁鋼捲及熱浸鍍鋅鋼捲等鋼品，以及鈦基/鎳基合金。產品約69%內銷，31%外銷，國內市占率逾50%，為目前國內最大鋼鐵公司；外銷主要對象為中國大陸(含香港)、日本、東南亞。

China Steel Corporation (CSC), located at Kaohsiung, Taiwan, was founded in December 1971. With annual production (in terms of crude steel) around 10 million tonnes, CSC produces a range of products including plates, bars, wire rods, hot and cold rolled coils, electrogalvanized coils, electrical steel coils, hot-dip galvanized coils, and Ti/Ni-base alloy. The domestic market takes roughly 69% of CSC’s production and the exports take the remaining 31%. CSC is the largest steel company in Taiwan, enjoying more than 50% of the domestic market. Major export destinations are Mainland China (including HongKong), Japan and Southeast Asia.

CSC is very active in innovation and has strong capability to put the innovations into practice.
